About us

artstu.co.uk was set up by students, the people who know what being a student is really like, no money and not much of a name for yourself as an artist. So we aim to give students a fair chance to earn some extra money to help in student life as it is much needed.
We also give you the chance to show the world who you are, your work and skills and what you and your work is all about.

Adding a copyright label to your work

We recommend you add a copyright © label to your work, whether its a photograph of your work or if you use video place a copyright © label within this, see examples below.

You can add a copyright label using many different kinds of software, for images you can use Adobe Photoshop, Corel Paint Shop Pro and other Photo editing softwares, there is even free software you can download online that are specifically designed to add copyright to your work. For video you can use Adobe Premier, Final Cut (mac only), you can even use the free Windows movie maker, plus many other different video editing softwares you can find online. Most of these editing softwares do not have a copyright symbol in their text editing functions but if you copy this symbol © and paste it into your text you are typing in your chosen software and it will be added.

Also with your Image or Video files you have the added option of embedding copyright and author information into the file, for example in Photoshop if you right click on the title bar of your image you will get a menu pop up, navigate down to 'file info' and this will bring up a box where you can add all the copyright and author information you need.
